Not so much of a post as just a sampling of quotes I’ve collected that mean a lot to me.

“The longer I live the more I see that I am never wrong about anything, and that all the pains that I have so humbly taken to verify my notions have only wasted my time.”
- George Bernard Shaw (1856-1950)

“In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and is widely regarded as a bad move.”
- Douglas Adams (1952-2001)

“Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part.”
- Proverb

“I hate mankind, for I think myself one of the best of them, and I know how bad I am.”  -Joseph Baretti

“I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they’ve always worked for me.” – Hunter S. Thompson

“Sometimes I think we’re alone. Sometimes I think we’re not. In either case, the thought is staggering.” – Buckminster Fuller

“A reasonable man adapts himself to his environment. An unreasonable man persists in attempting to adapt his environment to suit himself. Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.” – George Bernard Shaw

“There are two ways of spreading light; to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it.” – Edith Wharton

How I came to post these was that I was looking through my favorite quotes to find something applicable to a post I was working on for another forum. Caused me to wonder about what these quotes say about me. In no particular order, I am irreverent, noncomplacent, sarcastic, and a collector/sharer rather than an originator.
